Avenue Q

After a full day of sightseeing and playing with the squirrels, I met Marty for a drink and a show at London's West End. We met at Embankment station, and Marty took me to one of his favourite discoveries just up the road - Gordon's Wine Bar. It was a great little place... actually more like a dungeon. It just looks like a doorway on the street, but then you go downstairs and there is a basement cellar with alcoves cut out of the brickwork. It was a great atmosphere and very busy. You just buy the wine by the bottle, and then they have a cheese bar to choose from to have with your wine. Another cool idea - just like being at a winery in the city. So we had a bottle of red and some cheese there and then headed to the theatre.

We had tickets to see a show called Avenue Q - it's pretty hard to describe but my best shot is like an adults only version of a puppet musical (think muppets but for adults!). It was extremely original and hilarious. I was very impressed!
