Shopping Expedition... The First of Many!

As Mum and Dad went for a round of golf this morning, I had a nice long sleep in and quiet morning at home in our condominium. Here is the view from the balcony:

After making some lunch, I hopped on MSN and because of the time difference to the UK was able to have a great webcam conversation with Lisa and Ben in London. Mum and Dad then came home - they enjoyed their round of golf, but you have to be a bit more careful with the wildlife when playing in Florida - if you loose your ball into the bushes then it's staying there. You can't go after it because you might get bitten by a rattlesnake! Likewise with the water hazards... even it if it's just in the shallows and you can see it, you may loose an arm to an alligator if you reach in for it! So back in one piece, it was now time for my favourite sport... shopping!

We headed to an outlet centre south of St. Petersburg about 25 minutes away, once again via the interstate. I'm actually feeling very comfortable with driving now - although I'm pretty much the only car on the road doing anything close to the speed limit. The sun doesn't set until after 8pm here, so shops are open until 9pm - plenty of time to make a healthy start to shopping on this trip... as evidenced by the photo!
