My birthday ends... and Abbey's begins! Abbey held a birthday bash in conjunction with a housewarming for her brothers new apartment at Clayfield. With the Anzac Day public holiday the next day, Sach, Sarah and I had a few drinks and nibbles to celebrate Abbey's birthday.

Birthday Breakfast
Happy Birthday to me! For an early morning breakfast celebration Nat, Abbey, Sarah, Iona, Megan, Amber & I headed to Watt at New Farm last Saturday. We had a lovely (and surprisingly cheap) breakfast, although for some reason they just didn't seem to be able to master a cup a green tea - sorry Iona! Anyway we were having a lovely girlie breakfast, made even more lovelier by an appearance from Jamie Charman (Brisbane Lions ruckman for those who may not know). A great way to celebrate a birthday!

Happy Birthday Lisa!
A quick blog entry to say.... Lisa it's your birthday, Happy Birthday Lisa! Hope you and Ben are having a wonderful time in Prague. I look forward to the blog update....
Megan's Graduation
Congratulations Meg!!
Farewell Vossy!
The traditional pre-easter game at The Gabba saw Vossy farewelled in fine form. A capacity crowd cheered Michael Voss on his lap of honour around the ground. Vossy announced his retirement from AFL prior to the pre-season, and what better way that to send him off in style. Coincidently, I has purchased boundary tickets for the game and got a up close and personal encounter!
The Lions then went on to thrash St Kilda - a great start to the season so far!
AFL Season... Round 1 Lions vs Hawthorne
And then continue our end of match tradition with a beer or two at the German Club. Hooray for football!
Nat's Birthday
Nat's Birthday was celebrated in style with a lovely dinner at the Gun Shop Cafe at West End. Renowned for their breakfast menu, we thought we'd give it a try for dinner and it didn't disappoint! After an earlier stop for me at the Regatta to congratulate Martin and Mel on their engagement, I met Nat, Sean and few of their friends for dinner. We had some great food and a few nice glasses of wine. After dinner we checked our Uber, which was just around the corner, but it wasn't really our kind of place. A quick lap around the Valley soon ruled out any other adventures (who lines up for clubs in Brisbane???) so we called it a night.
On Nat's actual birthday the following Wednesday I joined the Avsenev and Furner families for some Italian at New Farm - followed by a dessert stop for gelati. Happy Birthday Nat!
